Arudem was founded in 2019, we started as a gaming community, and have grown into a platform for innovation, with a goal to build Games Designed to be Shared. To us, that means crafting original games and characters built for how people actually gather.
WHO WE ARE FOR:
People who move culture forward, the people shaping what’s next and the people paying attention. Not gamers by identity, but culturally fluent people who happen to play games as one part of a well-lived life.
THE GAP WE FILL:
Gaming in Africa is insular and inward-facing. Nobody is investing in commanding attention from outside the industry. And yet that is exactly where the market lives.
WHAT WE BUILD:
Games designed to be shared, built around how people actually gather. That feel considered enough to exist beyond gaming, and desirable enough that people are proud to be associated with them.
RUCITY IS OUR FLAGSHIP IP
RuCity is an arcade racing game set within an original urban universe that’s a direct extension of the ARUDEM brand. Its world draws from the street, contemporary culture, and the visual language of a generation of African gamers who grew up consuming global pop culture while developing an identity distinctly their own.
The characters aren’t adaptations of ancient legends or traditional archetypes. They were born from ARUDEM itself, evolving from visual symbols called IDENTS that the community embraced years before RuCity existed.
At its core, RuCity is built around the same philosophy as ARUDEM: games designed to be shared. It is made for parties, events, game nights, and the moments when people come together creating an experience that extends beyond the screen and becomes part of the culture around it.
